10 People To Connect With At The All About The Cloud Conference

SIIA & OpSource's All About The Cloud Conference is happening next week in San Francisco. If you have never been to this event, seriously think about going. I'm not just saying this because DS is a SIIA partner, but because over the last 3 years I have made some of my closest friends and customers at the All About The Cloud.

For those of you that are attending, here's a list of some of the attendees you should definitely try to connect with (in no particular order). Also, don't forget to go by the IBM booth and check out Watson.


1. Mark Cunningham, Founder & CEO, Indicee


Mark is a thought leader and entrepreneur who’s committed to using technology for good, not evil. Current Founder & CEO of cloud business intelligence (BI) company Indicee, Mark’s been involved in the BI industry since 1991, when his family business began building the Crystal line of reporting products. Following Crystal’s acquisition, Mark went on to launch several new ventures, building an enviable customer list along the way, including Nike, Pfizer, Xerox, Microsoft and Nortel. Mark is a strong advocate of cloud computing who brings a unique perspective on how IT delivery and BI has changed over the last 20 years.



2. Andrew Hermann, Chief Marketing Officer, CorSource Technology Group


Entrepreneur and Olympian, Andrew Hermann, recently joined CorSource Technology Group, a leading Northwest technology service provider, including business unit Agilis Solutions, as chief marketing officer. Responsible for driving the revenue growth of CorSource, Andrew leads planning, strategy and execution of sales and marketing initiatives for the 125-employee company, founded in 1994. With offices in Oregon and California, CorSource provides ISVs with software development, maintenance and consulting services for Cloud, SaaS, Mobile, Predictability and beyond to define and optimize the path from vision to product release. CorSource also supports small-to-medium sized business IT departments with their specialized technical staffing needs.

 


3. Jeff Kaplan, Managing Director, THINKstrategies, Inc.


Jeff Kaplan is the Managing Director of THINKstrategies, the only strategic consulting firm focused entirely on the business implications of the transition of the technology industry from product-centric to services-driven solutions, including Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Cloud Computing and Managed Services. 4. Rhianna Collier, Vice President Software Division, Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA)


In her role, Rhianna assists software companies in strengthening the collective voice of the industry globally; identifying and addressing common challenges facing the industry; and developing the strategic relationships vital to competing and succeeding in today’s marketplace. Prior to SIIA, Rhianna was Assistant Vice President for Scottish Development International, Scotland’s Economic Development Agency. At SDI, Rhianna played a pivotal sales role with an ambassadorial slant, promoting and representing Scotland in key sectors such as software, creative industries and energy.

 


5. David Roth, CEO and co-founder, AppFirst


David brings more than 20 years of experience leading organizations and leveraging partnerships for building successful companies. He sets the AppFirst strategic direction and guides the day-to-day business execution. Prior to AppFirst, David was CEO at Trigence (now AppZero), an application virtualization company, where he established the company’s success with quarter over quarter revenue growth through enterprise adoption and closed two rounds of venture capital. In 2003, David took on the role of Vice President, Services and Business Development at Consera, an IT automation company. As the Founder and CEO of Stratis Group, David built teams that drove the growth of this eBusiness B2B solutions company throughout the late 1990s.


6. Roman Stanek, CEO, Founder, GoodData Corporation


Roman Stanek is a technology visionary who has spent the past twenty years building world-class technology companies. Currently Founder & CEO of GoodData, which provides disruptive analytical platform in the cloud, he previously co-founded fi NetBeans, now a part of Sun Microsystems and one of the leading Java IDEs, and Systinet, now owned by Hewlett-Packard and the leading SOA Governance platform on the market.




7. Lonnie Wills, CEO, CloudTrigger, Inc.


Lonnie Wills launched CloudTrigger in 2009 in response to a growing demand for complete SaaS solutions that incorporate cloud computing technologies and services. Wills is a visionary who has been instrumental in developing global SaaS strategies and applications, such as G2Maps and G2Analytics, that solve core business challenges by reducing the cost and complexity of data and application silos, while driving profitability and reducing total cost of ownership. He is a recognized industry leader with more than 20 years of experience in IT consulting and management, a frequent speaker on SaaS and cloud technology, and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

 


8. Dominique Levin, CMO, Totango


Dominique Levin is the Chief Marketing Officer at Totango, a provider of in-app customer analytics and customer engagement for SaaS companies. Previously, she was CEO and CMO at LogLogic, a leader in IT big data analytics acquired by TIBCO. She also held executive management positions at Fundly (a cloud based social fundraising platform for non-profits), Intel, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone and Philips Consumer Electronics and has a past life as a venture capitalist. Dominique blogs and tweets as @nextgencmo on www.nextgencmo.com. She holds an MBA with distinction from Harvard Business School and a Master of Science Cum Laude in Industrial Design from Delft University of Technology.


9. Rick Nucci, General Manager, Dell Boomi


Rick is the Founder and General Manager of Dell Boomi where he is responsible all operations and strategic direction. He has led the company's successful transformation from a traditional software product company to a leading infrastructure provider in the SaaS and cloud computing industry. In his role at Dell Boomi, Rick is constantly engaged with customers and partners to ensure alignment between business needs and Dell Boomi’s strategy and operations.

 


10. Jon Miller, Vice President, Marketing, Marketo


Jon leads strategy and execution for all aspects of corporate communications, demand generation, brand, and product for Marketo (where he eats his own dog food and practices what he preaches). Jon explores best practices in demand generation, lead management, and online marketing in his popular blog, Modern B2B Marketing, and is a frequent columnist and speaker at industry events. Before co-founding Marketo, Jon was a vice president at Epiphany, a CRM strategist at Exchange Partners, and a strategic consultant for Gemini Consulting. Jon graduated Magna Cum Laude in Physics from Harvard College and has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
