Do you rely more on creative or analytical skills when managing your social media accounts?
Social media networking and marketing requires both creative and analytical skills. And few of us are proficient at both.
Left brain thinkers tend to be more linear and analytical. Right brain thinkers tend to rely on more circular methods of organization and creative solutions. A tip to keep the two straight is to associate the "L" of linear and left, and by deduction you know the right brain relates to the creative and intuitive skills. I think it needs to be a combination of both. For us we know that Twitter is a numbers game, and not all of our intended targets will see just one of our tweets if we are trying to get a message across. It takes more than one tweet, maybe 3, maybe 4, messaged in a "creative" way. So it's a mix between creative and analytical in that respect.
Although, sometimes creativity wins. If you publish that one tweet that has been positioned in a such a way that it could go viral, then it could push the campaign to new levels.
