In the first three quarters of 2012 the company experienced a 50% increase in sign-ups for its web-based service. The investment round was funded by private investors. Design Camp India 2012 Recap
It was truly a worthwhile visit to Chennai for Design Camp India (DCI) 2012 held at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Campus. More than 450 designers attended the event held on 29 to 30 September. The event is seen as an important platform for designers to engage with the design community over two days through Conference, Contest, Design Activities and Workshops. Interestingly, Design Camp India is an initiative by the design team at RIA-RUI Society, which is supported by Adobe Photoshop User Group of Chennai. Overall, it was a great show that provided great networking opportunities.

Thanks to everyone who attended the ‘Lean Lunch’ at WebVisions in Chicago, and my Lean UX session at InfoCamp Seattle. Every time I have these meetings and discussions, I learn something new about how people are running their UX practices. It was especially heartening in Seattle to see how many people feel like UX is important to their organizations and that they get the respect and authority they need to do a good job.
