Service-now.com to replace its two legacy IT service management tools.

Lee Root, support services manager of Tulare County, said that they needed a facelift for the IT department that reflected organizational transformation. He said that after considering many of the legacy ITSM tools, “we determined Service-now.com was the best fit for its breadth and depth of functionality, ease of use and low cost of ownership.”
 
Due to deployment of modern SaaS, the county no longer spends tens of thousands of dollars every year hosting ITSM applications, owning and maintaining servers or dealing with expensive application upgrades.
 
Currently, more than 100 Tulare County IT professionals are using Service-now.com to automate IT services - incident, problem and change management, and service catalog - for more than 4,000 county employees and almost 400,000 county residents.

Fuji Xerox chooses Salesforce.com to help staff and partner engagement

World renown printer giant, Fuji Xerox, has deployed Salesforce.com CRM to assist its staff and partners with better customer engagement.

In the past Fuji Xerox has been unsuccessful at deploying a number of CRM solutions including Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

The Fuji Xerox Salesforce.com deployment took just 10 days with the assistance of integrator, Fujitsu.

Astoria Releases New Version of Content Management Solution

Astoria Software, provider of an Enterprise solution for SaaS/On-Demand XML Component Content Management, has announced the September 2009 release of Astoria On-Demand.

The release continues Astoria Software's pattern of product updates every three to four months stretching back to the formal launch of Astoria On-Demand in April 2007.

Also, Astoria Software representatives will showcase the September 2009 release along with some important "best practices" for organizing DITA content in an XML content management system on September 15 at the "Best Practices 2009" conference hosted by the Center for Information-Development Management (CIDM) in Vancouver, Washington.

United States Postal Service Embraces NetSuite Cloud Computing Platform

NetSuite has announced that the U.S. Postal Service shipping is now integrated with NetSuite, providing the thousands of NetSuite customers with yet another strong and cost-effective shipping option.  This development enables companies to offer postal delivery to its customers while reducing time spent on manual processes such as printing labels and manifest forms. This in turn reduces shipping error risk and promotes greater customer satisfaction.

As the engine at the heart of the $1 trillion American mail industry, the U.S. Postal Service needs no introduction. Flexible and cost-effective, and the only delivery method with access to millions of Post Office Boxes, this development gives any NetSuite customer with an interest in reliable, universal delivery an important new option for managing order, shipping, tracking, and receivables processes.

NetSuite's USPS shipping integration capabilities were developed in partnership with Endicia, a leader in internet shipping and mailing software for small businesses, industrial and enterprise users and part of Newell Rubbermaid's DYMO Technology Global Business Unit.
