Appian, the global innovator in enterprise and on-demand business process management (BPM) technology, today announced that Appian Anywhere leads the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) BPM market both is features/functionality and in enterprise -- and SMB-level adoption.

As demand continued to rise through 2009 for the cost reduction and agility benefits of the Appian BPM Suite, more and more companies opted for the Appian Anywhere low-cost, low-risk “BPM in the Cloud” subscription delivery model.

According to the September 2009 “SaaS BPM: Silencing the Skeptics” report from Ovum/Datamonitor, “The ongoing recession has helped the cause of both SaaS and BPM. The SaaS model has endeared itself to customers that are wary of upfront capital investments, while BPM has helped businesses adapt quickly to the massive changes in the external environment... Matt Childs

KSS Inc. today introduced RackPrice SaaS, a hosted version of the company’s fuel price management software for fuel wholesalers.

The new system gives fuel suppliers the option to benefit from a comprehensive, automated fuel price management capability via a software-as-a-service (SaaS) model, where the application – and accompanying customer database and information – resides and is managed by KSS on its servers.

With RackPrice SaaS, wholesalers save on costly upfront equipment investments to host the software themselves, and it cuts ongoing costs for IT personnel to maintain the system. In addition, implementation time is greatly reduced with the hosted model, so wholesalers can quickly roll out the solution for a faster impact on their operations. The system also includes proven integration with OPIS, Platts and DTN data sources for added efficiency and convenience.

Kaulkin Information System® Introduces TrackHealth™ Version of KISTrack® SaaS/Cloud Technology

Posted by: Matt Childs

Matt Childs

Kaulkin Information Systems™ (KIS) today announced general availability of its KISTrack® TrackHealth™ technology platform.

TrackHealth is a specialized version of the company’s KISTrack SaaS-Cloud computing workflow, data/document management, compliance and risk mitigation platform. KISTrack TrackHealth allows patients, practitioners, office managers/staff, administrators, specialists and other medical stakeholders to more actively share data and monitor critical decisions and related electronic health records (EHRs) at all stages of a patient’s care.

With the majority of healthcare practices and institutions striving to keep operating costs to a minimum these firms naturally rely on third-party vendors or service providers for such operations as legal, accounting, HR and records management throughout the life-cycle of patient care. Being Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) and Internet-based it does not matter if TrackHealth users are internal staff, third-party service providers or individual patients.
Access to information is assigned to users at varying “rights” levels which controls exactly what data users can see and what each user can do with such data. This tiered user structure also controls which TrackHealth application tools are available to each individual user as well as the fees associated with accessing the system – keeping costs low.
