To date, Brainshark has offered a very popular on-demand presentations service for enterprises and small businesses. While the company already offers a profitable paid product, Brainshark just launched a free version of its service. The new service is called MyBrainshark.  

 MyBrainshark supports PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and PDF documents, as well as most popular video and image formats. These documents can be up to 100MB in size. Once you have uploaded a document, you can either add audio tracks by uploading additional MP3 files or you can call Brainshark and record the presentation over the phone.

Microsoft Office is now on-demand, as Microsoft has just launched public testing of the cloud-based version of the software.
  • Microsoft Office Web Apps offers many of the same applications as Microsoft Office 2007, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel, but does not include OneNote, Access and Outlook.
  • Web Apps is based off of Microsoft's free cloud-based storage offering, Windows Live SkyDrive.
  • Businesses will be able to offer Web Apps through their SharePoint servers or through a Microsoft Office Subscription Service.
