Once again ProtoShare is a Silver sponsor of InfoCamp Seattle on October 8-9, 2011. We are really looking forward to this “un”conference, so look for us, say Hi, talk prototyping, or come out for some oyster shooters.
Prototyping is a key element to the requirements discovery, definition, and validation process when building web applications. However, it’s all too common for teams to spend too much time in the prototyping phase, thereby defeating the purpose of creating a prototype in the first place. Here are several best practices to ensure you and your team get the most from your prototyping process.
LoudCloud serves more than 150,000 students
LoudCloud Systems, a pioneering software development company, is creating buzz in the higher education space with its intelligent learning platform, a user- and design-centric product that influences the role of online learning systems. In less than a year of their intelligent platform release design, the company made significant inroads in the higher education space by acquiring high-profile customers like Career Education Corporation and Grand Canyon University, educating annually over 150,000 students combined.
ProtoShare was originally conceived of to help the development team here at Site9 to better define and scope our own contract projects. We were literally our own first customer, which meant that the product feedback loop was very short and early versions of ProtoShare evolved somewhat organically, adding features as we realized what we needed. When we eventually released the tool to the public, we quickly discovered that most of our customers also had unique views of how prototyping fit into their organizations’ software development lifecycles. Today, nearly three years later, ProtoShare supports a huge variety of use cases and we have come to depend almost exclusively on customer feedback to drive the product forward.Part I: Why Agile?
