Widen covers every angle of digital asset management with an efficient cloud-based solution and premedia/prepress services. Widen Enterprises, Inc. started in 1948 as a photo engraving company for local newspapers in Madison, Wisconsin. Over the next couple of decades, Widen expanded its premedia and prepress offerings, soon knowing all too well the need for a great media file management system. The company began R&D in this area in 1987 and launched its first web-based solution in 1996. Widen continues today to push the envelope on digital asset management and evangelize the benefits of DAM.
