On September 30th Gartner released a report on the current landscape of BI vendors. Gartner analysts James Richardson and Neil Chandler were assigned to position the main actors offering Interactive Visualization Solutions for Data Analysis and Creation of Dashboards. Bime is recognized among the main actors in the world.

How would you like to display all your Google Adwords KPIs in a single, beautiful dashboard? Well it’s possible! Monitor measures such as clicks, conversions, impressions and average positions, and mix these with your ad expenditure data to get a fundamental overview of the performance of your Adwords campaigns.

To give you an idea of what you could achieve in a few minutes with Bime, we built a basic dashboard containing (dummy) Adwords campaign metrics data. Imagine the possibilities if you spent a couple of hours on it!

Bime really can be used to analyze any type of data… This week, it’s football stats! Created by one of our customer reps, check out this cool dashboard detailing where all the money was spent (or to some fans’ dismay, wasn’t spent) in the English Premier League and French Ligue 1 during this recently closed summer transfer window.

The graphics below are only images, if you open the dashboard in the web player in your browser these visualizations are interactive and using the row selector tool, more information can often be examined. To access the interactive dashboard click here. The only measure shown from the original data-set was the fee amount. The remaining averages, calculations and queries have been executed within Bime. In Bime you can easily distinguish between the attributes by assigning a color, thus, throughout our dashboard red=English Premier League and blue=French Ligue 1. Throughout the dashboard, ‘N’ refers to the number of transfers. Thanks to the concise way we were able to display the data, and by querying the wider dataset, a number of conclusions can be drawn.

Unfortunately, not all of the We Are Cloud team were able to fly out to the US to launch Bime V3.0 at Demo Fall '11, so most of us had to make do with watching it back on video. However this doesn't make the presentation any less awesome - watch it to find out! 

 We did follow the proceedings live on Twitter though (almost as good as being there) and saw that people really liked our tagline: "Mine Your Own Business". :)

We just finished presenting at Demo 2011. We had lots of fun being up there on stage and we got a pretty good reception judging by some of the comments on Twitter

One of our customer reps created this Screenr video to help illustrate just how easy it is to connect bime to your Google Analytics account and begin analyzing data. You’ll see from the video that it took him exactly 33 seconds to connect to a GA account, choose the profiles he wanted to analyze and save the connection. Could it be any easier?!

While using Bime to analyze our own web traffic the other day, I thought about how prevalent mobile browsing has become over the past few years. With the rise of the smart phone and the mobile tablet PC I thought it would be interesting to perform a query about our mobile website traffic.

According to Business Insider, the iPad represents 2.1% of US web traffic, and 1% of global web traffic.  2.1% may not sound like much but it’s actually very impressive for a new category of device introduced little over a year ago.
