In this talk, we will discuss some of the past and current techniques that are used to secure virtual machine images along with their applicability to IaaS Cloud architectures. Using these methods as a foundation, we will discuss several new approaches to virtual machine security that collectively will help to raise the bar for organizations concerned about security in the Cloud. Using a blend of methods available today along with a few that are on the horizon, this talk will demonstrate how Cloud is fast becoming a forcing function that helps to drive OS platform security improvements that benefit any kind of IT environment.
